Sportovní masáž: kdy před tréninkem a kdy po němSports massage: when before training and when after
Masáž den před závodem může pomoct i uškodit — rozhoduje načasování a tlak. Tenhle text shrnuje, co kdy dává smysl.A massage the day before a race can help or hurt — timing and pressure decide. Here is what makes sense when.
Před výkonem nebo po něm?Before or after?
It depends what you want from it. These are two different things, and mixing them up costs performance.
| KdyWhen | Co děláWhat it does |
|---|---|
| Den před závodemThe day before a race | Krátká, svižná, bez hloubky. Rozhýbe, ale sval neunaví.Short, brisk, no depth. Wakes the muscle up without tiring it. |
| Do 2 hodin po výkonuWithin 2 hours after | Jemná, odvádí únavu. Hluboký tlak teď škodí.Gentle, clears fatigue. Deep pressure hurts at this point. |
| 1–3 dny po výkonu1–3 days after | Tady má smysl jít do hloubky a rozpustit, co se nastřádalo. This is when going deep makes sense and clears what has built up. |
| Mimo sezónuOff season | Pravidelná údržba, práce na starých zkráceních.Regular maintenance, work on old shortening. |
K tomu často zkrácené ohybače, pokud mají i sedavou práci.Runners — calves, hamstrings, hips. Often with shortened hip flexors if they also sit at work.
- Cyklisté — bedra, kyčle a šíje z předklonu.Cyclists — lower back, hips, and neck from the forward lean.
- Posilovna — hrudní svaly a přední rameno, které se zkracují rychleji, než lidé stíhají protahovat.Gym — chest and front shoulder, which shorten faster than people manage to stretch.
- Plavci — ramena a horní část zad.Swimmers — shoulders and upper back.
Thajská, nebo olejová?Thai or oil?
For athletes Thai massage is often the better fit — stretching addresses the range of motion that training eats away. Oil is better right after a session, when the muscle needs calming rather than moving. See the full comparison.
With regular training, every two weeks. During race preparation, weekly — but the last deeper massage no later than three days before the start. General guidance is in How often to get a massage.
Kdy masáž nepatříWhen massage is not the answer
Na čerstvé natažení, otok nebo modřinu ne. Akutní zranění potřebuje klid a lékaře, ne tlak. Masáž přijde na řadu, až otok ustoupí.Not for a fresh strain, swelling or bruise. An acute injury needs rest and a doctor, not pressure. Massage comes later, once the swelling is gone.
Po tréninku bez cestováníAfter training, no travelling
Praha a okolí, stačí 3–4 hodiny předem.I come to your home, or to the gym if there is space to set up. Prague and around, 3–4 hours’ notice is enough.
